Guess Who Boards

The Guess Who Assignment: In this assignment, students had to make a "Guess Who" based off the popular board game of the same name first developed in 1979.  The students had to draw 24 people who all looked different.  The students had to consider gender, race, age, accessories and facial features.  The students had to make it in full color and give each character a name. This teaches persistence, engagement, observation (if students are looking at reference), craft, exploration and a little imagination.  If they are serious about being illustrators or artists, particularly cartoonists, this exercise is vital.  If your characters all look the same, the viewer will not be able to differentiate and your cartoon/comic book becomes harder to read.  Enjoy!
